Terms & Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions are made solely between the Instructor and the Pupil and that no contractual relationship exists between Time ‘U’ Passed Driving School and the Pupil. Subsequently, the Pupil acknowledges that the School has no liability to the pupil in respect of any loss, injury or damage arising from the use of the tuition vehicle or from any acts or omissions of the Instructor or any other Instructor substituted under Sect. 9 below.

1. All pupils must be in possession of a signed U.K. Provisional Driving Licence for Group ’B’ Cars on commencement of the training.

2. All pupils must be able to read an old style number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres, or a new-style plate from 20 metres. If glasses are required these must be worn throughout the training.

1. All fees include pupil cover whilst driving the School vehicle, (provided the pupil is licensed to drive). And is accompanied by, or under the direction of a Driving Standards Agency A.D.I. / P.D.I. (Car) or on a Driving Test with an approved DSA Examiner(s)

2. FEE’S:
Time ‘u’ Passed Driving School currently charges a standard fee of £19.00 per hour or £18.00 per hour for Pupils that can present a valid National Student Union Card (NUS) in their own name and containing a Photo ID of the said pupil. All hourly driving lessons are subject to a minimum 2 working days (48 hours) notice of cancellations, driving courses 3 weeks = 15 working days. The School retains the right to charge a full tuition fee if the above notice is not given.

3. PAYMENTS:
We accept payment by either Cash, Cheque (Supported by a valid cheque guarantee card), no cheques will be accepted from persons under the age of 18 years, or we except payment via PayPal; an Online Payment method. Pre-Payment lessons are accepted on the understanding no refunds will be given. Courses are subject to a minimum booking fee of £150.00 Payment with respect the current or next lesson may be made to the Instructor. Where payments are made directly to the Instructor, the School does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any failure on the part of the Instructor to carry out his / her obligations.

4. APPOINTENTS:
a. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure Pupils receive training at the requested time, all bookings are made on the understanding that the School is not responsible for the postponement of training due to traffic conditions, adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment or any other cause outside of our control.
b. If in the view of the Instructor, the pupil is unfit to carry out the lesson safely, due to self-induced circumstances (e.g. Alcohol or Drugs) a cancellation fee will apply.

5. COURSEWORK PAPERS ETC:
All question papers, handouts, books; CD ROMs and relevant materials remain the property of Time ‘U’ Passed Driving School. (If not returned at the requested time a fee will be charged). Driving Courses / lessons may involve working breaks away from the tuition vehicle, (to discuss progress, look at lesson plans etc).

6. THE DRIVING TEST:
The School reserves the right to withhold the training vehicle, if in the instructor’s opinion; the pupil does not reach the required standard. The School cannot be held responsible for Test Appointments being postponed or cancelled by the Driving Standards Agency. Furthermore we are not responsible for any failure of bulbs / lights etc during the Practical Test. All bulbs/ lights etc will be checked at the test centre prior to the test, with the candidate. If we book a test on a pupil’s behalf and do not receive payment, the test can be cancelled by us at any time.

7. PERSONAL PROPERTY:
Time ’U’ Passed Driving School accepts no liability for personal property that is left in any training vehicle.

8. MOBILE PHONES:
All pupils should ensure that these are switched off, prior to entering the tuition vehicle, for safety reasons.

9. INSTRUCTOR AVAILABILITY:
In the unlikely event that the Instructor is not available for any reason whatsoever, the Instructor shall have the right to substitute another Instructor for the purpose of giving all or any of the lessons.
